A Trip of a life time.
You have got to try kayaking on the Suwannee River, I took a trip yesterday which was Sunday afternoon. I have never kayaked before it was so grand of a time. Me and my family went we seen so many things along our trip. There was a young deer that was on a island in the middle of the river I guess the little deer had swim to the island, I also found alot of rocks that looked like so arrowheads could be found in these rock beds along the river and it is so easy to get to the spring along the river banks. If you have never tried kakak you dont know what you are missing. You need to take this year and try something new I beleive you will have the time of your life. Thanks for a great time on the Suwannee River.

A Sunday Afternoon on the Suwannee

alt

My wife and I along with daughter and grandchildren Josh and Leslie put our kayaks in at the Hardenburg boat ramp near Mayo, Florida on Sunday afternoon. As we paddled up river we saw a deer on the island and came within 20 feet of her. As we neared the Drew bridge we drifted down river to Bath Tub springs coming up on several flocks of ducks. The next thing you know there was a large group of wild turkeys. If you haven't been kayaking you have got to try it is so easy to paddle and there is so much to see. If you want to relax and go back in time and get rid of the stress in your life try kayaking on the beautiful suwannee river.

Our Day On The Suwannee
alt On a beautiful day in January, me, my dad, my brother's girlfriend and my brothers (from South Carolina) set out on canoes for a day on the Suwannee River. My mom watched my Son who is still an infant so that we could go. We left Canoe Adventures at about 10am, and spent most of the afternoon in enjoyment and amazment at all the wonderful scenes along the banks of the Suwannee. The last two out of the River were Dad and Dan. They missed the ramp so they had to paddle back a ways. My dad who was positioned in the front of their canoe, when arriving at the bank, told Dan to stay sitting down. "Dan, stay right there." Then he proceeded to dump him out of the canoe into the water. This was pretty funny to everyone except to Dan of course. We had so much fun that day we've decided to make this a family tradition. Maybe next time we'll try Kayaks. If I were Dad, I would watch my back though!
